How It Works

The Basics

Each CrossLingo puzzle focuses on a theme and contains 6-10 vocabulary words. The clues are in English, but the answers are in the target language (e.g., Spanish).

Solving the Puzzle

  1. Click on any cell to start entering letters
  2. Click the same cell again to switch between Across and Down
  3. Use arrow keys to navigate between cells
  4. Press Tab to move to the next clue
  5. Press Backspace to delete and move backward

Understanding the Clues

Each clue shows an English sentence with the target word highlighted in bold. Below it, you will see the Spanish sentence with a blank where the answer goes. This context helps you understand how the word is used naturally.

Learning from the Content

After the crossword, scroll down to find detailed vocabulary explanations and a grammar mini-lesson. Each word includes:

  • Common collocations (phrases the word appears in)
  • Example sentences in context
  • Common mistakes to avoid
